Alpaca Resource Directory
|
Georgia alpaca farms will contribute more to the State's agricultural production as the industry grows. Important agricultural products in Georgia include corn, cotton, tobacco, soybeans, eggs, and peaches. Georgia produces twice as many peanuts as the next leading state. From its vast stands of pine come more than half of the world's resins and turpentine and nearly 75 percent of the U.S. supply. Georgia is a leader in the production of marble, kaolin, barite, and bauxite. Alpaca breeders have found this hardy breed of livestock to be well adapted to the State's climate and geography.
