Alpaca Resource Directory
|
Kansas alpaca farms will continue to make a larger contribution to the State's agricultural production as the industry grows. Wheat fields, oil-well derricks, herds of cattle, and grain-storage elevators fill the Kansas landscape. A leading wheat-growing state, Kansas also raises corn, sorghum, oats, barley, soybeans, and potatoes, and stands high in petroleum production and mines zinc, coal, salt, and lead. Kansas is also the nation's leading producer of helium. Alpaca breeders are expanding the State's rich agricultural traditions.
