Empire Alpaca Association

The Empire Alpaca Association ("EAA") was born in 2002 as an outgrowth of the first Empire Alpaca Extravaganza. Those first 16 farms expressed a desire to become a New York Affiliate of the Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association. From the original 16 farms, EAA now has 241 members – ranging from small farms to some of the largest in the country plus non-owner enthusiasts.

EAA has taken a place of the forefront of the alpaca industry by being the first Affiliate to draft and adopt a code of ethics for its members. EAA is also one of the fastest growing Affiliates. New York members are now a significant presence on the National scene with positions on AOBA’s Show Rules Committee, Affiliate Committee, Fiber Committee, Nominating Committees and ARI Board of Directors: New York’s voice is being herd!
