ABA Poseidon

Poseidon brings strong Peruvian genetics to the table, including those of Don Julio, a rural Allianza sire that has left the United States for Australia.

Name: ABA Poseidon

ARI #: 818587

DOB: September 17, 1999

Color: Light Fawn

Sire: AHR Alejandro

Dam: Peruvian Electra

Poseidon has the classic look of a Peruvian alpaca. A "typey" head, dense fleece of a bold crimp and a heavy bone structure are clearly evident. Couple these traits with his extremely gentle disposition, and you have a very nice animal.

His pedigree is 100% Peruvian. His paternal grandsire, Don Julio, was from the first import, while his paternal grand dam, Doroti was from the second. His sire, the well known Alejandro, and dam, Electra (from the first import) combined to produce an exceptional animal.

Poseidon's first cria are on the ground, and they look to continue the quality of this line.

Breeding Fee: $1500

"When near the buildings I met a white man, in such an unexpected elegance of get-up that in the first moment I took him for a sort of vision. I saw a high starched collar, white cuffs, a light alpaca jacket, snowy trousers, a clean necktie, and varnished boots. No hat. Hair parted, brushed, oiled, under a green-lined parasol held in a big white hand. He was amazing, and had a pen holder behind his ear..."
